Kushner, founder and CEO of Thrive Capital, and Iger, a former CEO of Walt Disney and an adviser to Thrive, had previously been pursuing an NBA expansion team in Las Vegas before turning their attention to the Lakers. 

The proposed transaction would value the Lakers at a record level for a professional sports franchise.
 
Anthropic is in talks to buy startup Decart for $6bn. (Bloomberg)

Anthropic is in talks to acquire AI startup Decart AI for about $6bn. Decart develops so-called world models that simulate aspects of the physical world, as well as software designed to improve chip efficiency and reduce the cost of AI training. 

The technology could help Anthropic expand the capacity of its existing infrastructure as demand for its products grows.
 
Wendy's shares jump on report that Peltz is preparing bid. (Bloomberg)

Wendy's shares rose to their highest level in seven weeks after reports that Trian Fund Management is preparing a potential bid to take the fast-food chain private. 

Trian, which held a 16% stake in Wendy's as of March 31, is seeking to bring other shareholders into a potential offer that could emerge in the coming weeks.
 
Vantage Data Centers explores IPO at $100bn valuation or sale. (Reuters)

Vantage Data Centers is exploring strategic options including an initial public offering or a sale as soon as 2027. 

The company, backed by Silver Lake and DigitalBridge Group, could seek to raise about $10bn through an IPO at a valuation of roughly $100bn, potentially making it the largest data center listing to date. Vantage is also considering a sale of the company or a stake to an investor.

Delek Logistics Partners has priced a $200m public offering of common units, with an option for underwriters to purchase up to an additional 600k units. 

The partnership is offering 4m units at $50 each. Proceeds will be used primarily to repay borrowings under its revolving credit facility, with the remainder allocated to general partnership purposes.

Candle Lake makes mandatory $14bn offer for Evolution. (Bloomberg)

Candle Lake, owned by billionaire Kenneth Dart, has launched a mandatory cash takeover offer for Evolution, valuing the company at about SEK132bn ($13.8bn). 

The offer values each Evolution share at SEK695 ($72.8), about 6% below the previous closing price. Candle Lake's holding in Evolution recently exceeded 30%, triggering Sweden's mandatory takeover rules.
 
Adyen soars most in year after acquisitions boost sales outlook. (Bloomberg)

Adyen shares jumped by the most in more than a year after the company's first-ever acquisitions prompted it to raise its 2026 revenue growth outlook. 

Adyen now expects net revenue to increase 21% to 23% on a constant-currency basis in 2026, including contributions from Talon.One and Orb, compared with its previous forecast of 20% to 22% growth.

EQT offers $4.9bn to buy Australia's Cleanaway waste. (Bloomberg)

EQT has offered to acquire Cleanaway Waste Management in a deal valuing the listed company at about AUD6.9bn ($4.9bn). 

EQT has proposed to acquire all of Cleanaway's shares in cash, with the company's board recommending that shareholders accept the offer. Cleanaway will also grant EQT nine weeks of exclusive access to its books to negotiate a binding agreement.
 
Philippines' First Gen eyes take-private deal from KKR at $2.7bn valuation. (Deal Street Asia)

KKR has launched a mandatory takeover offer for Philippines-based First Gen that values the company at about PHP165.44bn ($2.7bn). The offer follows KKR's agreement to acquire an 8.43% stake in First Gen from its parent, First Philippine Holdings. 

The transaction is expected to trigger a mandatory tender offer for the remaining 11.67% public float, potentially supporting First Gen's voluntary delisting from the Philippine Stock Exchange.
 
BofA to take a 49.9% stake in Jio Credit for $1.9bn in India push. (Reuters)

Bank of America has agreed to acquire up to a 49.9% stake in the non-bank lending arm of Jio Financial Services for INR182.68bn ($1.92bn). 

The investment will expand Bank of America’s presence in India’s fast-growing financial sector, where banks and non-bank lenders are benefiting from strong credit demand and relatively low levels of loan delinquencies.
 
Korea's SK Shipping and H-Line swap tankers to create LNG Giant. (Bloomberg)

SK Shipping and H-Line Shipping, both owned by private equity firm Hahn, will exchange vessels and contracts in a transaction that will create one of the world's largest operators of liquefied natural gas carriers. 

Under the agreement, SK Shipping will receive 16 LNG vessels and their long-term contracts from H-Line in exchange for 12 tankers, their contracts and about $300m in cash.
 
Londian Wason valued at $2bn, biggest Chinese debut in New York in over a year. (Reuters)

Londian Wason New Energy Tech was valued at $2.01bn in its New York Stock Exchange debut, marking the largest US IPO by a Chinese company in more than a year. 

The Shenzhen-based copper foil maker raised $94.3m in an upsized offering, with shares opening at $26, above the $22 IPO price.
 
Fintech startup Navi to hire banks for $315m IPO. (Bloomberg)

Navi is preparing to formally begin the process for an initial public offering in India that could raise as much as INR30bn ($314m). 

The fintech company, founded by former Flipkart co-founder Sachin Bansal, has appointed JM Financial, Kotak Mahindra Capital, Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan as advisers for the offering.
 
ZUS Coffee to explore Malaysia IPO to raise at least $245m. (Bloomberg)

ZUS Coffee is considering an initial public offering of its Malaysian business that could raise at least MYR1bn ($245m). 

Owner Zuspresso is working with financial advisers on a potential listing that could value the business at about MYR4bn ($978m). The IPO could take place on Bursa Malaysia as soon as mid-2027.
 
Thai hotel giant Minor International delays $1bn REIT Plan. (Bloomberg)

Minor International has postponed plans for its first real estate investment trust, which was expected to be valued at about $1bn, as deteriorating market conditions weigh on investor demand. 

The Thailand-based hotel and restaurant operator is concerned investors could seek a higher-than-expected yield on the REIT amid uncertainty related to the Middle East conflict, according to its head of investor relations.
