The used and salvaged vehicle marketplace is competing with private equity firms including GTCR and Veritas Capital for CCC. Discussions remain ongoing, and no agreement has been reached.
 
US transport regulator resumes review of Union Pacific's proposed Norfolk merger. (Reuters)

The US Surface Transportation Board has resumed its review of Union Pacific’s proposed $85bn merger with Norfolk Southern after receiving additional information from the railroads, while emphasizing that the decision does not indicate approval of the transaction.

The deal, announced in July 2025, would create the first coast-to-coast US freight railroad. The regulator has established a timeline for public comments and requested additional documentation as it continues its review.
 
Anthropic pre-IPO credit facility set to climb past $10bn. (Bloomberg)

Anthropic’s revolving credit facility is expected to exceed its roughly $10bn target as the artificial intelligence company prepares for a potential initial public offering.

Lyntris and some of its shareholders raised $297.5m in a downsized US initial public offering that priced below the marketed range. The sensor technology company and investors including Trive Capital sold 17m shares at $17.50 each.

The shares had been marketed at $19–$22 each, with the original offering expected to include 24m shares, indicating weaker-than-expected investor demand.
 
Reach Capital closes $265m fund V for technologies that expand human potential in the AI era. (Press Release)

Reach Capital has closed its fifth fund, Reach V, at $265m, with the oversubscribed vehicle attracting commitments from existing and new investors including endowments, pension funds, foundations and family offices.

The early-stage venture capital fund will focus on companies applying artificial intelligence across learning, healthcare and work. Reach Capital now manages about $1bn across five funds and has backed more than 180 companies.

British AI company Quantexa is considering a multibillion-dollar initial public offering in the UK or US, with both markets also under consideration for a potential dual listing. The company has been IPO-ready since January 2026 but has not set a timetable and could remain privately held.

Separately, Warburg Pincus is exploring options for its 9%–10% stake in Quantexa, including a potential sale, with an auction expected later in 2026. Quantexa was valued at about $2.6bn in its latest funding round.

Bain Capital-backed Proterial is considering selling its wire, cable and automotive parts businesses in a deal that could value the operations at JPY150bn–JPY200bn ($940m–$1.25bn).

The businesses were separated earlier in 2026 into a new company called Proterial Cable Solutions. The potential divestment remains under consideration, and no final decision has been made.

EQT is considering selling its English-language education businesses in Vietnam, ILA Vietnam and Vietnam-USA Society English Centers, in a deal that could value the combined operations at about $500m.

Unitree Robotics surges 460% after $904m Shanghai IPO. (Bloomberg)

Unitree Robotics surged 460% in its Shanghai trading debut after raising CNY6.1bn ($904m) in an initial public offering, becoming mainland China’s first publicly traded humanoid robot maker.

The shares closed at a level giving the company a market value of CNY342bn ($50.7bn), after rising as much as 629% from the CNY150.80 ($22.36) IPO price during the session.
 
Tiger Global-backed broking firm Upstox said to plan India IPO. (Bloomberg)

Upstox, one of India’s largest online trading platforms, has begun preparations for a potential initial public offering and is expected to appoint advisers soon. The Tiger Global-backed brokerage could raise about $400m through the listing.

The proposed IPO is expected to include a mix of new shares and a sale by existing investors. Discussions remain preliminary, and details including the size and timing could still change.
 
Siguler Guff raises $500m fund to back high-growth businesses in India. (Press Release)

Siguler Guff has closed its Global Emerging Markets Growth Opportunities Fund II at $500m, more than double its previous fund. The vehicle will target high-growth businesses in India, with average investments of around $50m.

The fund will focus on consumer, healthcare, financial services and technology. Siguler Guff has invested about $1bn across 23 Indian companies to date.
