Samsung Electronics' investment division is reportedly one of several firms looking to invest in US-based healthcare software and device maker Exo Imaging.

Samsung Ventures Investment is considering joining a private funding round led by Sands Capital, Bold Capital, and Qubit Health Capital. Exo, headquartered in Santa Clara, California, could raise around $100m through this round.
 
IG4 Capital in talks to invest in Brazil's Rio Alto Energias. (Reuters)

A new fund managed by IG4 Capital is in advanced negotiations with creditors of Brazilian renewable energy firm Rio Alto Energias Renovaveis to restructure its debt and inject capital into the business.

Rio Alto, which focuses on developing and operating solar energy projects, has a portfolio exceeding 1.8 GW in operational and pipeline assets. The company has been working to avoid bankruptcy proceedings amid financial difficulties.

FountainVest seeks $1.32bn in Arc’teryx maker share sale. (Bloomberg)

FountainVest Partners is seeking to raise up to $1.32bn through the sale of about 35m shares in Amer Sports at a price range of $37.20 to $37.73 per share. 

The sale represents roughly half of its stake in the sporting goods maker, whose brands include Arc’teryx. FountainVest was part of the group that acquired Amer in 2019 for $5.2bn.
 
GlobalData extends deadline for ICG takeover Bid, ends talks with KKR. (Reuters)

GlobalData, a London-based data analytics and consulting firm, announced that it has extended the deadline to June 11 for private equity group ICG to submit a formal takeover offer. At the same time, the company has terminated discussions with KKR after both parties were unable to agree on the terms of a potential deal.

In April, the data analytics and consulting firm announced it was in discussions with funds managed by ICG and KKR regarding a potential all-cash acquisition offer. The proposal also included an option allowing shareholders to choose an unlisted equity alternative.
 
Neinor Homes eyes major stake in Aedas to form Spain’s largest developer. (Bloomberg)

Neinor Homes is in advanced talks to acquire a significant stake in its competitor Aedas Homes, a potential transaction that could result in the creation of Spain’s largest property developer with a combined market valuation of approximately $2.6bn.

Neinor is negotiating with Castlelake, the majority shareholder of Aedas, regarding a possible acquisition. Castlelake currently holds a 79% stake in Aedas. Apollo Global Management is collaborating with Neinor to arrange financing for the proposed deal, although the specifics remain confidential.
 
Verisure IPO headed to Stockholm in €20bn listing plan. (Bloomberg)

Hellman & Friedman selected Stockholm as the preferred venue for the initial public offering of Verisure, the European security firm. The listing could value the company at over €20bn ($23bn) including debt.

Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley are leading the advisory group, with DNB Carnegie recently appointed as joint global coordinator. The IPO would mark a major milestone for Verisure and a significant exit for its private equity backer.

Dubai Holding’s $584m residential real estate investment trust made a strong entrance on its trading debut, reflecting continued investor enthusiasm amid the city’s booming property market. The REIT's launch underscores the growing appeal of Dubai’s real estate sector to global and regional investors.

On May 28 morning, Dubai Residential REIT climbed over 10% to reach $0.33 per unit. The offering had been priced at $0.30 per unit - the upper end of its proposed range, resulting in an implied market capitalization of approximately $3.9bn.

Foxconn among suitors for UTAC in potential $3bn deal. (Reuters)

Taiwanese electronics giant Foxconn is reportedly evaluating a bid for UTAC, a Singapore-based semiconductor assembly and testing firm, in a transaction that could value the company at around $3bn.

UTAC is currently owned by Wise Road Capital, a Beijing-based private equity firm, which has engaged Jefferies to manage the sale. Non-binding offers are expected by the end of the month, with multiple bidders potentially in play.

Denso is in final negotiations to acquire Axia Vegetable Seeds Group for approximately $500m, marking a significant step in the Japanese auto parts supplier’s push into the agriculture sector.

Temasek, the Singapore-based investment firm that holds nearly 50% of Axia, is expected to earn a profit from the transaction. The deal is in its final stages, with details still subject to change.

Multiples Alternate Asset Management, an India-focused private equity firm, has closed a $430m continuation fund led by global investors HarbourVest Partners, Hamilton Lane, LGT Capital Partners, and TPG NewQuest. 

The fund was created to acquire stakes in three rapidly scaling businesses: Vastu Housing Finance, an affordable housing finance services provider, Quantiphi, an AI and digital engineering company and APAC Financial Services, a growing financial services network.
