SpaceX has raised its proposed valuation to more than $2tn ahead of a potential initial public offering. The company — which spans rockets, satellites and artificial intelligence — is preparing for what could become the largest market debut ever.

Elon Musk’s firm and its advisers have been presenting this valuation to prospective investors as they gear up for meetings in the coming weeks. These early “testing‑the‑waters” sessions are expected to offer additional details to justify the figure.

Investment firm KKR announced that it has secured $23bn for its latest private equity fund focused on North America — the largest vehicle the firm has ever dedicated to the region.

The fundraising underscores the sustained appetite among investors for private‑market opportunities, as companies increasingly remain private for longer periods and look to sidestep the volatility of public markets.

European energy heavyweights TotalEnergies and Shell are among the companies exploring a potential majority stake in one of the most attractive prospects in the US Gulf. Interest in North American energy assets has been climbing as instability in the Middle East reshapes global investment priorities.

BP, listed in London, is also reviewing the opportunity. A fifth source said Spain’s Repsol is considering joining the process as well. Chevron is likewise expected to evaluate a bid.

Spain’s Indra names Simón as chairman after leadership dispute. (Bloomberg)

Indra Sistemas is set to name Ángel Simón as its new non‑executive chairman, following a clash with the Spanish government that prompted the exit of former chair Ángel Escribano.

Simón, 68, is a seasoned executive who joined industrial investment group Criteria Caixa after more than a decade leading the water‑management firm Agbar. His appointment would make him Indra’s fourth chairman in just five years.

Blackstone’s AirTrunk said to choose banks for Singapore REIT IPO. (Bloomberg)

AirTrunk, the data‑center operator acquired by Blackstone in 2024, has selected banks to lead a planned real estate investment trust listing in Singapore that could raise around $1.5bn.

Citigroup, DBS and Jefferies have been tapped to guide the company through the IPO process. The listing could come as early as this year.
