CD&R, a US-based private equity firm, and McKesson, an American company that distributes pharmaceuticals and provides health information technology, medical supplies, and care management tools, agreed to acquire Option Care Health, an independent provider of home and alternate site infusion services, for $5.8bn. Ares received around £100m ($133m) in exchange for releasing its security over TalkTalk and consenting to BT’s purchase. Including interest and other repayments received over the years, the asset manager is expected to recover roughly 50% of its total investment.
Life sciences venture capital firm Forbion has raised €2.3bn ($2.6bn) across two new funds, marking its largest fundraising to date and exceeding its initial target.
The capital will be deployed through Forbion Growth Opportunities Fund IV and Forbion Ventures Fund VIII, which together are expected to finance around 30 portfolio companies. Investors include MN, PGGM, KfW Capital, Kauffman Foundation and Eli Lilly.

Tesco is among the bidders considering an acquisition of Majestic Wine Group, which has been put up for sale by owner Fortress Investment Group. A formal auction began several weeks ago, with multiple parties understood to be involved.
Majestic operates more than 200 stores across the UK and Jersey and has expanded under Fortress through new openings, online growth and acquisitions including Vagabond Wines and Enotria. A sale is expected to value the business at several hundred million pounds.

Headline has launched its eighth Europe-focused early-stage fund with $400m to invest in Seed and Series A companies across the continent, with a particular focus on AI.
The fund complements Headline’s $900m Global Growth Fund, allowing the firm to back European founders from initial rounds through later-stage financings. Headline said it sees stronger potential for globally scaled companies to be built from Europe, particularly across AI, robotics, industrial software, healthcare and defence.

Activist investor Oasis Management has urged Nidec to evaluate potential privatization options as the Japanese manufacturer faces accounting issues and the risk of delisting.
Oasis is calling for Nidec’s board to appoint financial advisers and seek preliminary non-binding proposals from strategic buyers and private equity firms. The investor is seeking a review of a potential take-private transaction rather than an immediate decision to pursue a sale.

Gaw Capital plans to list a new Hong Kong fund that will invest in private loans secured by real estate assets across Asia Pacific and the Middle East, including markets such as Japan, New Zealand, Singapore and South Korea.
The Gaw Capital Real Estate Private Debt OFC will target at least 90% of its assets in property-related debt, including senior and construction loans, and aims to pay quarterly dividends while delivering long-term capital gains. Jefferies is the sole sponsor and joint listing agent alongside CMB International, while the fundraising size and offer price have not yet been disclosed.
